I would like to thank all of those who showed up and helped us put on a good show. We had a poor turnout and had to switch some things around in order to make it work but in the end we actually ended up with 5 classes of evenly matched boats. After that is was up to the drivers to beat the lights.
The first class was 4cyl hunt boat. We had two boats in it and the winner was Andrew Wimberly.
The 2nd class was also a hunt boat class. The three boats in this class were considerably faster than the first class and was won by Justin Allen. Second place went to John Dwyer.
The third class was basically a 6cyl hunt boat class we matched 4 boats in. Ronnie Nail won first with Mike Lathrow in second.
The fourth class looked to be a 4cyl race boat class but we had to slide Tyler Houseman in it with his car motor. A little friendly encouragement got him to accept the challenge and he used his drag racing knowledge to beat a couple faster boats at the line and win it. Neil Schneider finished second.
The last class matched a couple super-chargers with a race boat. Fuel pump problems cut the day short for one boat and Jesse Violante took first with Wayne Pushman coming in second.
Not to forget Dave Hartz who apparently scared away the competition so he made a few passes with his Water Thunder powered boat to awe the crowd.
Once again I would like to thank all who showed up and supported us and a special thanks to Charlie Freese for the prize donations from C & D Props and Whirlwind Airboat Propellers.
